| Lavender Lemonade 3 cups sugar 7 - 8 springs of organic lavender, flowers and stems + extra for garnish 2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 12 lemons, organic preferred of course) 1/2 cup fresh lime juice In a large saucepan, bring one gallon of water and the sugar to a boil. When sugar is dissolved, remove from heat; add lavender sprigs and lemon and lime juices. Cool to room temperature, strain, and chill. Serve on ice, with additional lavender for garnish. Enjoy. | |

| This sounds yummy! I suppose one could make it with honey or stevia instead of sugar to since Matt is doing the no carb thing. I'm going to have to give it a try. It's been so hot here and he has been working so hard on the yard and pastures I know that he would love it. | |

| If Matt needs a sweetener that is very low glycemic use Blue Agave instead of honey. It is excellent for diabetics too. I also love lavender in my sun teas or hot teas. Even my favorite cooking herb "Herbes De Provence" contains lavender. I guess I'm a lavender freak. ((Hugs)) to both of you. | |
